Can anyone fill me in as to where I can buy a submersible or floating night light in the Sacramento area. I am headed to Shasta with some friends on a houseboat in a couple weeks. I realize that you can't keep trout at night, but there are plenty of other fish in the lake to keep us occupied at night. I've heard great things about using lights in the water. Any info/advise is appreciated.

I would believe Fisherman Warehouse would have them.

You can order one from Cabela's, should be no problem getting here in time. Good Luck!

Mine are LED on AA batteries, lasts 1000 hours according to the hype. I used them at Camanche and did real well. Got mine at Cabela's.

Hinrid, so your's doesn't require the huge car battery then. that's pretty cool. what's it called again and what's the cost?

Cabela's - Electrolume. Green - $39.99 and Green & White - $49.99

These are more than a lot of the other advertised models but the fact that there isn't a car battery and a limited length cable were selling points for me. I have it hooked to a round spool and can lower to any depth I wish.

Try Wild Sports and Elkhorn Bait and Tackle as they also have submersible lights. They work great! We caught some nice 2 to 3lb trout at New Melones last weekend using the submersible lights! ;D We fished for 3 hours each night and they didn't drain my batteries. I have two batteries and hooked one to each battery so that may be why it didn't effect them as much? Have fun,it's a blast fishing at night especially with the hot weather and it being tolerable at night!

Good Luck! :D
