Assuming you are coming from the Sac area you would take 70 or 99 north. Head east on highway 20. Turn north on Marysville Road. Follow it until you hit the lake. i would suggest reservations. www.reserveusa.com

Give us your report when you get back.

You can camp in a few of campgrounds without a reservation but its first come first serve.

Either way good luck. Let us know the lake levels if possible, they just started drawing the lake down a few weeks ago so I am curious to its levels as I think this has a big effect on the fishing.

I was there on Saturday and the lake is down about 5' and the fishing sucked. I caught 2 10" bows in 10 hours.
Talked to about 5 other fishermen and the report was the same. Lots of Recreational boats to ruin a good bite, and the reduced speed coves were full of fishing boats. Lot of gas money for 2 stinking shakers :( :(

HEY :) its still great to just get out and fish. Get away from the city and enjoy the outdoors.

My result was similar as yours a few weeks ago. At least you caught some bows. I only bagged some Kokes... Kind of sucked but I wasn't skunked (actually I claim to this day that I have never have been skunked at LGV.) :)
