Just returned from a backpacking trip to Roosevelt/Lane. I threw everything in my takle box at them and didn't even get a bite! The only think biting were the crawdads that were eating the bait off my hooks! Took a hike to the west walker - no luck there either. Talked to a couple of other hikers that didn't catch anything as well. One hiker who went as far as Bonnie lake (17.5 miles in) caught a bunch of brook trout. Not all bad the weather was nice, and it sure beat working.

Thanks for leaving some in there, I always hit that area in the fall and ususally do pretty well. Those are some of the best tasting crawdads I have ever eaten...did you try any? At least the scenery takes some of the sting out of the skunk. Better luck next time

FISH2XS,

Yes, they are very easy to catch and very tasty.
