Well got to the dam and tryed a spot on top of a rock and immedietly saw a good sized school cruisin the bank. So I see em' coming my way and miss the first bite of the day! Dang! Oh well it didnt matter to me.. Moved over like 50ft and saw them cruising again. Finally I picked one off! Nice little fighter for a 1.5lbr! then after that fish I kept catching while everybody was watching haha. Thanks to this man that helped me out with some net assistance theres no way i could have got em' in! One of the 6 I caught was a nice 3.5lbr that fought me the best any trout has before. Fryed my gears on my reel so I now need a new one hahaha I only kept 1 of the 6 cause it was a bleeder... Oh and not to mention all of em' had full tails!!

FATTY 3.5lbr

Nice View:smiley:

Thanks Cap! yeah that was my first time ever fishing that lake. I really liked the fresh air and the friendly fisherman. and YES! you would think all that snow would be gone by early april! We did get ALOT of snowfall this year for california alone.

Great report and pics. I sure wish I had the time to get out of the bay area and fish other lakes with natural scenery without hearing the traffic and bart trains. Oh well...FISH ON!

Good job B-Ran. To bad that lake is in L.A. otherwise I might go. Youngling if you want scenery go to Bon Tempe in the Mount Tam Watershed. Not big fish but beautiful landscape.
