Okay, tomorrow is game time.....2nd day out on the Pacific this year.......first day was transporting biologists and fisheries personnel to the Farallones......along the way, a completely empty meter, no bait or signs of life, 48 degree cold, clear water......It wasnt even worth trolling while we waited for the guys on the rock to finish business........Tomorrow will see crowbars in chovies, sinker releases, and hopefully some hungry Salmon.

I hope the salmon do come up north near the Farallons. Please keep us updated on the Farallon activities.

Okay, about 26 miles South of seal rocks, roughly fishing the Deep Reef area........We were one of 4 or 5 charter boats, along with probably 20+ private boats.....ended up with 13 salmon to 15 lbs for 12 anglers, and we shook close to 20 fish between about 21" and 23". fish were taken from 25-45 ft, herring on cable hooks.when cleaned, fish had krill in stomachs

It has all but died in Monterey so get ready for some better numbers. Fish seem to be at Half Moon now.

Sadly we fished thursday, 5/20, and it was horrible.....we were one of 3 or 4 Charterboats out of the HMB/SF Bay fleet....We started off about 5 miles above the HMB boats which were roughly on the same numbers as where we caught fish 5/15, they had some bait, but no fish......after a couple hours without any action, we ran up the hill to an area about 10 miles below the islands, nada! Up the hill, to about 5 below the islands, nada. ran into "W" buoy, another nada.............For the day, not a single scratched bait on any of the boats out fishing! What few fish were around have disappeared..........
