Anyone been to Rollins Lake??? If so what is the bait of choice?
Are the skiers out or is the water still to cold?

PT.
I would say that with the weather as nice as it is the skiers are thier.
How many? This time of year Rollins wouldn't be my first choice. As far as bait i troll with rapalas,flasher/crawler combo.
If your bank fishing i have no idea what to use.
Maybe powerbait.

Over the Memorial Weekend I bagged 35+ and lost just as many. My two choices for killin it along the dam and rock wall was a Yo Zuri Floating Pin Minnow 2 3/4" 1/8oz F197-M44. This was my best trip on Rollins and I go often. The other hot choice was Arkie's Salty Crawlin Grub Jig. Rootbeer color 1/8oz. The mix consisted of Large Mouth, Smallies and 1 blue gill for color. My biggest was 4.5 lb with the average fish at 2 lbs.

I have a one man pontoon with not enough battery power to get back to the river mouth. I've been focusing on trying a variety of lures and have bumped up my size of lures and grubs. Generally I only ever get 3-5 fish on good day! and 0-2 on a bad day. I'm excited and can't wait to get back to see if I can do it again! I wish you luck and good fishing.
