Took the family to fish Silver Lake this rainy weekend. Did real well on Sunday from a favorite spot of ours from the shore. Caught 18 fish in 2.5 hours. Took a few back home.

Weather was horrific. Lightning, Thunder, Heavy Rain, Hail. But that was what made it such a wonderful trip. Sitting at the dam, eating lunch in the truck, listening to the SF Giants win the division, watching lightning striking the opposite shore line. What a DAY!!!

The Downside: - Group of jerks decided the whole lake was not sufficient to find their own spot, they set up not 10 feet from myself, the wife and the kids. WTH?? They even set their gear up next to my kids toys on the beach. By the time we decided to pack up, they were actually standing next to my pole, and casting into the area that I was fishing. In case one of you reading this thread was with that group, please see below.

I hope to have the pleasure of meeting again on another trip when the wife and kids decide to stay at home :foottap: ....

Glad you and the family got into the Trout!!! Way to avoid confrontation with the idiots of the world. I always like casting as close to the a-holes as possible until they figure it out, even across their line. Good luck, Eric

MasterBaiter, You are a wise man! I'd have done the same thing. At least I hope I would have. Yes, I know the jerks of the world count on good people like you doing nothing that's why they do what thy do. I didn't say your reaction was easy, just the right thing under the circumstances.
