Anyone ever deep fried there ducks or geese? If you have was it any good and how did you do it?

I havent done a duck or goose. But I do the Big Bird in a bath.

You should'nt have a problem if your oil is running 375-425 degs. I'd juice it up with some butter and broth and give it a dunk. I also put a temp probe in the breast so i can see what the temp is and pull it at the right time. 165deg. It will climb up 5-10 degs. after it's pulled out.

Thanks for the tips! Ill give it a try this weekend after are hunt hopefully we get a couple quackers for the fryer!

eeesh!!! Not for me. Been there done that. Call me crazy if ya want :mind-blowing: but I just couldn't eat it. Now if you slow cook it in a smoke house then it would be a different story...
