Dennis picks me up at 5:30. Head toward North Shore Ramp. Talked with Aaron (Windmeel) and then, go get ready to launch. Then Mickey T and Fort Bragger pull up along side. A few words and were all off. Those two go towards the main lake and we stayed up in the Narrows. Put out Grubs. Go along the Rockwall for nothing, so we keep going. Started catching some fish... Dennis was the first to boat a fish. So we work the Narrows for a while. Went into China Gulch for a few more. We have three in the box that Swallow our grubs. Then we were heading down the Narrow Wall on the North Side. Started to turn around and Dennis say's "Your Planer Board is going the other way" I pick up the rod and sure enough a fish. Started reeling in, i get the first look and it looked to be around 4 - 5 pounds. Then I see Dennis clearing lines and get back on the off shore bracket. He only goes back there when he doesn't want to lose the fish. He said "It's Bigger than that" Kool... Just as he side the net under it, I went maybe 8 - 9 pounds. Dennis's Postal Scale had it at 8.5lbs. It goes in the box. So we started to keep catching fish. Then around 1pm. I decided, if i'm going to clean one, lets get 10. So that's what we did!! We must of boated over 25 fish today. With can't even count have many came unbutton... We started out with everything on the surface. We ended the day with our most fish, on the downriggers, set at 6'. Our best Grub was the bright white 3" berkley power grub. Shad scent. The big boy was actually caught on a 3" Firetiger Grub. Great chatting it up with everyone... Mickey, Rich (GVF) Ben, Roger, Eddie Tee, Fishin Poles Ready, Fish Junky. Hope i remembered everyone. Here's the good stuff...

Lures: Grubs 3"
Speed: 1.4 - 1.7 GPS

Sounds like an awesome day on the lake.

What kind of planer boards do you use? I made a couple of large ones for pulling big striper plugs, they work pretty well but I need to beef them up a bit. Anyhow, I need something smaller for pulling trout lures.

Nice fish Robbie! I was able to fish on Sunday (2/27) afternoon with my Daughters with only one other boat in the Narrows. We had a great day! Did not catch any Hogs, but all fish 1-3 pounds.. I worry about the day that they won't be excited to fish with me. Thank-you
