I'm thinking about heading out there on saturday and maybe sunday. I've only fished there once in the summer for catfish. Lake chabot is my home lake. I was just wondering how long the leader you used was and, aprx how deep you are fishing and, what kind of bait are you guys using. Oh and how is the water level?

thanks in advanced,

you can use same setup. they seem to go for the tan colored gulp nuggets in my experience

for trout, i usually use a 18" leader with a small trebble hook and a tennis ball PB or any kind of charturese color with scent. also, used a slip bobber with nightcrawlers and floated in the middle of the res, with sucess also. good luck!!

I use around a 2-3ft leader w/ a sliding sinker rig. I also use single Gamakatsu hook with some pink/chartruse/orange power nugget or PB. 6# P-line cxx. My 2 cents! -Dave

For catfish i went to the third dock across from the play ground. I was wondering if is this a good spot for trout as well. If not any info on some spots would be great. I'm not looking for any secret spots just general spots.
