We all know the season opener for eastern sierra trout starts on april 30th. But the question is, will the water be fishable? How are the water levels, and are the streams and rivers around 395 or 89 or 108 or anywhere over the sonora pass fast?:confused2::seestars:

It has been good, water has very very good and very fishable. As far as waters like the east walker and those rivers and streams, I have talked to a few people that live there and they already doing really well having on average 20 fish days.

I fished the East Walker Tuesday last. It's fine, being a tailwater. The West Walker was raging and brown as I drove along 395. Snow melt will only make it worse.

The East Carson is also rising with melting snow. Let's hope for cooler weather. If we get a May heat wave like last year, these waters may not be fishable until July.

Today is supposed to be 68 here in Gville' there will be some storms coming in this week. It is only gonna get warmer as we head into May. I'm on high ground so I won't need sandbags but I suspect the golf course will get a little flooding:naughty:........Jetspray
