Seon and I arrived Thursday afternoon, got launched the boat and got tied up to the dock, went out for some ice, and bait, then back to the camp ground, got Seon’s new (to him) motor home parked and set up. Did some B S ing with Martinez Frank and his crew, then Ft. Bragger came by after a rough day of fishing, he (Ft. Bragger) handed out his secret hoochies. We all had a good B S session, and then we went back to camp, set up for the next day.
Got up early for a bite to eat, the hit the big blue. It was rough going out but it calmed down after a short time. I got a couple short salmon, then after Seon some how got a back lash, got a good hit and it was fish on. A nice buck in the box.

After some high fives, its back to fishing. I get another short one, and then as I was dropping back in, I get hit, popped the clip and its fish on. A nice one for me.

Now I’m a happy camper.
Here is Ft. Bragger with one of many hook ups they had.

I almost forgot, when Seon was fighting his fish, he leaned against the switch on his down rigger, when I noticed it, he had a BIG “back lash” on it. That stopped him from fishing for the day. I got another short one, and then I got a Canary Rockfish, tossed it back. After a short time we decided to call it a day.
Back at the harbor we cleaned our catch

Spent about 3 hours straighten out the D R cable

The next morning (Saturday) we pick up come bait and ice and try to give it another shot. We get out past the bridge and every one has turned around and heading back in because of rough seas, so back to the dock we go. Every one ended back at the camp ground and had another B S session and they went to breakfast Seon and had all ready had breakfast, so we stayed, after some deliberatation we decided to pull the plug and head home.
We both had a great time, and it was nice to put screen names to faces.
I want to say thanks to Ft Bragger for getting this fest set up, and going!
