Hey Sniffers-
Can anyone tell me where there is a public boat launch in Alameda and how to get to it off 880?

The closest ramp is actually in Oakland, Estuary Park. It's off Embarcadero West just north of 5th ave. It's free with a wash down and safe.

I think you might be looking for Grand Ave. ramp in Alameda.

Coming from Oakland on 880:
exit 23rd Ave.
go straight and cross Park Street bridge (greem bridge)
Make right turn on Clement (2nd light after the bridge)
Make right on Grand Ave. (when you come to a "T")
Ramp is at the end of the road.

I hope this helps.

The Encinal ramp is open but it can be dicey getting in at low tide. Plus there is no washdown facility. Grand Ave is better. I personally like Estuary Park in Oakland.

Thanks Sniffers! Me and my FBs where wondering where to launch from for the 880 side of So. S.F. Bay. We've gone out of Berkely plenty to access it, but figured there had to be a better way. Thanks again :)
