They don't have live bait there to my knowledge.....I think Berkeley is your best bet, but the reciever is'nt open yet.

Today I spoke with one of the guys who works at the Oyster Point bait shop, and he said they do have live bait. He also said that its a good idea to call the shop by 4pm, the day before you want to fish, to check and see what they have on hand.

Ha that made me laff ;D

I'm not sure if they do or don't have live bait at this time. They usually have a great variety of frozen. Not that that helps but I think they carry live too.

I just read in the print version of the fishsniffer Loch Lomond has live shiners available. I know its a little far from Oyster Point, but thought some of you might want to know.

What kind of live bait are you looking for?

Live bait, means things like bullheads, mud suckers, grass shrimp, pile worms, shinners, etc... *

LIVE Anchovies are only at San Francisco, peir 41, I believe and Berkley. *I don't think they have bait yet. *Achovies are sold out of nets in the actual marina water. Half scoop $30, Thats enough for 4 guys to fish hard all day.

I'm itching to do some drift too.

If you only want pile worms they sell those at the jail house deli right out of there. I go there alot because I usually fish after the oyster point shop is closed.
But im sure you are wanting some live fish.
