5 Rainbows to 4#+ (released), 2 HNS, no LDR, none broken off, no SDR. A nice day at Camanche. My lucky dog, Spike, joined me on the outing with his sweater. This was mainly a gear check out day. The fuel line to my 15 hp 2-stroke Mariner leaked on the last out, did not run properly. I applied some teflon tape to a few fittings, added and tightened all hose clamps. The motor ran perfectly this trip! I bait fished Power Bait on the bottom for 15 minutes (0), trolled the rest of the day (5). The action I had was on the orange (5) grub, headed by PB Red fluorescent sparkle egg, tipped with a PB Rainbow nugget, smeared with Trophy Trout gel at 2 colors (5) of lead core at 1.5-1.6 mph. No hits on F7 Orange/Firetiger, orange 2.2-2.8 mph, Apex or a double fly offering at 1.5-1.6 mph. 9 locations, North Shore launch Bay (0), Deer Island (3), Rock Wall (0), Narrows (1), Lancha Plana (0), approaching, at, above the bridge (1). Birds seen: American Pelican, Merganser, American Coot, Western Grebe, Canada Goose, Pied-Bill Grebe, Red-tailed Hawk, Eagle. 7 hours (7:15-2:15), 13 miles. Water 50-50.8*. Air 42-60. Sky high overcast. Wind 0-2 mph. Sunrise 7:18 % moon visible 7.
