After 3 Months of Beating up Camanche, We decided to try another lake. So off to the "Berry" We launched just before 7am. We headed straight to the Big Island and dropped 6 lines in. Didn't take long and the rods started bouncing!!! Really was non stop action until 10am. At this time we had over 15+ to the boat. Plus a few LDR's. Then around 10:30 or so, it slowed down. We capped off the day with 18 fish in the box and another 10+ released unharmed, to be caught another day.

The Boat Captain was Dennis, he is the one that brought his Beautiful Duckworth for us to enjoy our great day. Also on Board was N8LUVS2FISH and Little Natey... So with the four of us it was a day, I won't forget. Cant say thank you enough to Dennis for inviting all of us along.

Here is the good stuff:

Lures: Apex's - Spinners - Grubs
Area: Mostly Between the Big Island and Goat
Depths: Surface to 15'
Scents: Carp Spit - Shad Gel
Speed: 1.3 to 1.6
Dodgers: Small to Micro
Set backs: 100' to 200'
Fish Kept: 18

Here are some Photo's to Enjoy:

Right Side all Set up. Planer, Top line, Downrigger...

Now, the other side...

Sun was trying to come through a few times...

One of many doubles, had a triple also!!!

Both Nate's and Dennis, getting lines back out...

To many fish, not enough time...

Think we even "Knocked BIG Nate Out"...

Awesome day on the Lake...

Goat Island... Was a pretty good spot, today...

Heading Back In... The Sun is still up http://www.imhooked.com/forumsyabb/Templates/Forum/default/grin.gif

I remember this sign...

On Giant Pile of Fillets...

Filleted - Skinned - Deboned... Ready for the BBQ...

Again, Thanks to Dennis and Both Nate's for a day we won't forget. Until Camanche Next Saturday....

As usual, great report! Glad it was so fast and furious. A bit of chaos always adds to the excitement. I like the photos a lot. Nice scenery sure, but I like the family of Nate. You expect to see kids napping but my favorite shot is Nate making use of multiple seats. haha.

Good job guys,

There you go, another great day! I'd like to see how you make that cut to remove the pin bones. Maybe you should do a Filet video???

Looking forward to Camanche next weekend, been over a year since I last fished there. Hope there are a few left in there!

Great report and pictures! Sounds like an awesome day on the lake. I love seeing the kids having a good time, too. Those are really special memories.

I'm headed out on Tuesday. Thanks for the info. Goat Island was good to me a couple of weeks ago.

Fingers crossed...

I have had people at Pardee and Camanche with Video cameras, watching me fillet. They say, i make it look easy. Just lots of practice over the years. Some have asked me to do a Video on Filleting Fish, Just haven't got around to it. Looks like i just might have to do it... Robbie

We could make it happen at Camanche, it would go viral on Youtube...:bananadevil:
