Take your boat out of Richardsons Bay bust a left through Racoon Strait and another left toward the birdge and don't stop until you hit either Buoy 5 if the tide is weak, or pump house if it is jammin. ;D This time of year it's Sturgeon Baby! The Mare Island Rockwall can be deadly too on tides around 4, or 5 feet either way. Once we get into April, May, or June your boat will be in the kill zone. You have Salmon then outside the gate, and Stripers, and Halibut inside. Where your boat is at is my favorite part of the bay. ZACK!

the real potatoe patch is the left and right side just outside the gate
the left is worst next to the gate and the right is further out...
the patch is not worth fishing, A/B bouy is the traditional spots for
salmon early in the year. the patch is only bad when the tides are
flowing hard and you add some wind or swell.... otherwise you just
go thur them and motor past usually on the right side in/out....
hope that helps you...
