I did make it to Sugarpine and had the boat in
the water about 7:00.Yes thier is a fallen tree in the water by the boat ramp
but it causes no problems launching.
Put a watermelon dodger/crawler on one pole,a pink and green dodger/crawler
on the other. The pink and green is one of my creations that has worked in the past.
For me it has done well at Stampede for Kokes.
Never figured it would do so well on the trout, but i'm not a fish.

90ft out with one 110 with the other.
Trolled to the dam for nothing and headed back towards the dock up the
middle.Got the first fish a nice 13-14 fat hold over on the green and pink
set up.
Stayed in the area for several smaller fish that were let go.
You could see the fish feeding on top all over the place so i went
straight up the middle for 2 more keepers.
Had about a million short strikes it seemed which got me real frustrated.
I had my 5 fish by 11:30 and by then it was pretty warm and my legs got
somewhat red.
None of the fish were real big but still fun to
Seen a few others in boats,2 guys in float tubes and a few bank fishing.
It was just great to get away,be on the water.
I almost forgot to mention that they have redone the boat dock or put a new one in.
It's nice compared to the old one.

next time try a black wooly bugger behind your small dodger. just killed em with that set up a couple of times last year. nothing big but lots of fun. always been one of my favorite "close" to get to lakes. glad you did well. makes me jealous i have not had a chance to get out yet!
