Wow... that is so weird after going out on a New Sea Angler trip. Thats really whats it like.

I have to recommend. If you don't like squid to eat and you plan on a squid fishing trip for the experience (like me). Ask people you know and work with if they would like some calamari. Its what I did, and I was surprised at the response. A lot of people out there would love the chance to cook up some humbolt squid. I had around 250 pounds of squid 11 days ago in my freezer, all vacuumed packed. Its all gone. I gave it all away to friends that have tried different ways of cooking it for consumption. Trust me, it is not very much effort... and well worth it in my opinion.

Just wondering how they taste. I read in other posts that it does not taste good. Can anyone share their experience?

You are supposed to remove both the skin and membrane under the skin, and some the meat in milk or water for at leas a few hours but prefferably overnite before cooking.
