If and when you use live minnows for bait, do you buy it at a place like Wild Sports (I'm in Roseville) or do you net your own? And if you get your own, where and how do you do it? I never see schools of baitfish on lakes the way you would in an ocean setting, so is there a technique? Just curious. There used to be a tackle place on the way out to Folsom Lake on Douglas which was really convenient but he's been out of business for a few years. I've gotten it at Wild Sports a few times but I have to get it the day before and keep it alive which requires me to be both a pre-planner, and responsible...and I'm not very good at being either!
