Re: Trolling with downriggers in the Delta?

The varying depth is kinda why I want to try it. I think I'd troll into the current pretty slowly and raise and drop the balls with the changing depth. This way I wouldn't be going so fast that I...

    Re: Tulloch 2-19

Its really a matter of what the lure takes to get moving. The small ones can be trolled down around 2mph, the medium size around 2.5mph, and the big ones around 3+mph

    Re: Melones 2-16

Nope, not me. Haven't got into the planner board gig. I'm in a big old white and grey Sea Ray hardtop. I only trolled the surface for about the first hour and then went down, even if it was just 5...

Laser cut and then pressed in a mold I made to give the shape. The painting is killing me. A lot of drying time and repeating coats. Working on a bunch of shad patterns now. I've been fishing a...

  16. Re: What's BIGGEST LURE You Caught a Trout With?

Not the biggest but my most productive big trout lure is my homemade 5" Chucker T replica. Great for trolling fast and going after those browns and will still get a wide darting action down around...
  17. Re: New to Sturgeon. Where to launch near Pittsburg? What bait shop?

Thanks guys. Anyone know how the weather should be down there Saturday, aside from the rain. NOAA says 7-14mph wind. I generally fish up out of Rio Vista and have never made it down that far.
  18. New to Sturgeon. Where to launch near Pittsburg? What bait shop?

Going to head out sturgeon fishing this weekend for the first time. Not a beginner fisherman. Fish strippers often just have never targeted sturgeon. Where is the best place to launch near...
