As I wrote back to your pm, I bought my aluminum pot and burner at the Galt Flea market some 10 yrs ago that can hold 20 whole crabs.
Unless you plan to catch lots of crabs, then it maybe too large for being an "all-around" pot.
My kids, grandkids and great grandkids loves to go crabbing so I need one this size and steam several batches at a time.
Now if If I crab with only one other person on a given day and bring home a limit of my limit of 10 then I steam in a regular Turkey Fryer Pot.

Been very happy with this size. and it steams with the basket in it instead of a boil. Add some salt to the water and seasoning if you like. Also I clean the crab first, used to do the whole crab, but never again with this set up, the crab has a lot more flavor steaming. This burner kicks ass,,,Gregg

Made this cutter to split them in half, shake the guts out rinse, done, ready for the pot. Some like the crab butter and still boil whole, but with the toxin issue in the crab last couple years we don't eat the crab butter now

I assume your fryer pot is the usual 30-qt? How many can you fit into a batch?

I use my turkey fryer. Cook as many as will fit with out over crowding. Then bring the water back to boil and start again. I have a bucket of ice water for a cold bath to stop the cooking.
