    Hi_Tide,

I've eaten landlocked kings, including the ones from Berryessa. I would summarize them as they taste better than trout, but not as good as Kokanee.

You had hurry up and get down here, that King bite isn't quite as wide open as it was a few weeks ago.

    Good Luck

    Eat'n Kings

I'm in OR but might be visiting CA soon & want to try for kings at Berryessa. I've fished there for kokes but not the kings. Question is: are they good table fare? I've heard the kings at Shasta taste like pellet fed planters. I'm sure that they're not as good as kokes but if they're close I might keep a few.
