    Sounds like a tangle fest. Always hated slinkys and long pieces of pencil lead cause they just spin and tangle your crap up...

    One ounce per yard seems too lite. 1/4 Oz would be 9" long.

    Then again, I've never tried it so who knows. $7 is a pretty cheap experiment.

    anyone ever try a Sausage Beaded Lead Weight Cord. they use these on curtains and you can find it for 7.50 for 5 yards on the internet, . thats a lot of slinkies and i believe its a lot more limber underwater and snags less than a regular slinky. Only thing is you might want to paint it black heres the site i found it on !!

    and I found out about this because in the UK they use curtain weights for salmon fishing as a slinky
