Nice post and pics as always. The lake looks about as full as I've seen it. Those crappie look like fat footballs. Fried crappie fillets are awesome eating. I'll be up there Friday, crappie or trout either us fine with me.
Hunting, Fishing and Labrador Retrievers and at the end of the day a glass of Buffalo Trace Whiskey- Life is Sweet.

    Camanche 2-26-17
We had originally planned on fishing Pardee today but a last minute change was made. Either way it would be special because Rich from Gvf Lures was meeting us at the lake!
This was his first time with us on our boat but not the first time he has been on our boat. He spent time on it when the boat used to belong to Mickey T.
On the water about 7:30. Instead of starting out in the narrows like last time we set up in the main lake. Between and around big and little hat islands and the dam area.
We were targeting trout today but only picked up Crappie. One each to be exact. Two at 9' on a firetiger rapala and a Kastmaster colored with purple sharpie. And Rich picked one up on a tangle of two of his lures so we aren't sure which one. 20'.
We threw everything at em today. Covered all depths and speeds.
We worked the area until 2:30 and headed in for a nice cheat day meal at the cafe. Fishing days are always my food reward days for eating healthy all week. This bad girl had a Patty melt and fries all to herself! I'm a rebel! LOL!
It was nice seeing Kevin Wilson and his wife Abby. Who by the way did pretty well on the trout today. Also nice talking to Naughty Flash Lures over the radio.
All in all a day I would do over again! Great company, Conversations and a few fish! Plus we get to eat super yummy crappie fillets for lunch tomorrow!
No fishing for me next weekend as it is our annual girls day out and sleepover! Fun fun fun! See I actually do more than just go fishing! lol.
    See y'all soon!
    M&K.
