Great Report ! I've wanted to, but never ventured out of the outer bay yet. How deep do you have to drop ? I have a manual crab pot puller (my son) so usually stay 50 ft or less. My pots are getting old, so might be worth the risk to let them soak for a couple days in order to get a nice catch like that. Thanks for the report

    Bodega Report 11/12

After all the weekend horror stories of Raiders at Bodega I decided to check mine that's been soaking since Friday in Carmet area. Got my two daughters, a grand daughter and one niece crewing for the day and as all...well almost all females they were late in meeting me at Westide ramps.

We finally launch and underway about 11 a.m. and headed north for an hour ride. Weather was beautiful other than the smoky skies.
I was a little apprehensive pulling the first pot but was pleasantly surprised that it held 15 jumbo and commercial size crabs. Long story short we limited for 5 on 4 pots. Didn't even check the last pot.
Will clean the boat tomorrow then head back on Wednesday with a different family crew.
