    Speaking of Downriggers...

I fished with a buddy yesterday trolling for Salmon. On his Scotty downriggers he had a #550 paracord attached between his main braid line and his 15# weight. Although he had a line retriever

the paracord made it easier when grabbing the line to bring the weight it. Yes I understand it's easy to grab the weight rather than the line but yesterday made me a believer of the paracord so I made a couple.

They're each 6' long with ball bearing swivels with strength rated over 200#. The swivel and paracord is thin enough to feed thru the pulley at the end of the boom.

But also thick enough to trips the auto stop switch thus no need for the braid auto stop bead and the weight ball stops just at or below the water surface.

    Thought I'd share.
