Right now it is the time to look for some at the rivers inlet by the Campgrounds, that is where the water is flowing in and they are in spawn colors. Later in the summer ICR will be very tough and have a bunch of growth. At this point there is enough inflow that has kept the growth of grasses away from close to shore. We noticed that on our last trip and if you did not toss out too far you would not be bringing in the salad. They will be planting in the upcoming week or two so if you can get there it might be the best bet......Jetspray

Yep the fishing has been good up here. Been having the place to my self for the most part. Especially since most people are afraid of the high water this year and the lack of truck trout are definitely keeping people away.

Cool Re: ICR and Hwy 88 report 6/6/19

We are still dealing with wind issues and the rivers are still high as the snow melts. There should be some planting going on and ICR has some great spots being planted. The launch area of the campground and the inlet river should be good to walk down to and get some LCT's. I am limited on walking so my only choice is the dirt launch on the east end. I might also add that the growth of green stuff is hitting the bank fisher people and you pull in a bunch of salad each time. Make sure your leaders are a bit longer to put your floating bait above the level of the grasses......Jetspray

    Just use more Ketchup........................... !!

Hard to believe that a 30" leader is needed this early in the season.
I hate to think what they will be like in mid-July !!
