Re: hello all! new here. anyone have a g. loomis SJR721 6' IM6 rod?

thanks for all of the replies! Just got a reply from
    gloomis, the IM6 rod i
have is an earlier model of the spin jig IMX we see today. The rod was made in the early
    90's.

I think i know why my father gave me this rod. A couple of weeks before he gifted me the rod i mentioned a horrible story that started at woodward lakes (residential) I was using a GLX spinning rod that I bought from my father for 300. (it was my
go torod for so many years, and in a big family with other siblings, it was necessary for me to pay for it to remove any de facto claims and make it official. much less drama) so, anyways ihad the rod for about 3 years, and while i
was loading up one of the boats someone pulled a quick one on me. he replaced my glxwith a cheaper gloomisrod anyways it wasnt until i picked the rod up that i noticed it was off, looked around and checked the pole and saw it wasnt
mine. anyways some guy made a switch with his 100$ gloomis
for mine 450$ rod. anyways sad story but
its true, if you have nice rods, keep them handcuffed
    to your hand! cops
    didnt
do crap about it just to the other rod from me as evidence

Custom built by Woods of Oregon on an IM6 blank?

Post a thread here to possibly get your answer?

I'd bring it to sports shop/store and match it with a reel that feels right for you.

Sounds like you scored well from someone who cares, I did look a little but maybe if you cut & paste this link you can find a close one similar to what you have......Jetspray

I found the SJR721 but it's IMX not IM6? Maybe call G Loomis?

hello all! new here. anyone have a g. loomis SJR721 6' IM6 rod?

So, my father just gave me a rod from his collection but I can't find any mentions of this model online. anyways seems like it'll be a great rod for targeting trout this year. gotta get a new reel. the rod markings are as follows,
lure WT. 1/16 TO 5/16 and
    line WT. 6 TO 10.
if you have any experience with this rod please share! I see Loomis made the IMX SJR721 but not the im6 mentioned anywhere so i am kinda scratching my head.
