    Re: 2019 salmon thread

Well lifting it up and down are just the basics of it. The jig doesn't need to be fluttering down to get the strike.... it just has to be falling in front of them. So the higher in the column I had my jig when the fish were swimming through the better odds I had. When I jig I lift slow and drop slow, never ripped up and let it flutter. I only dropped slow enough to get my hook to turn up on my jig, so when they struck the jig the hook wasn't dangling down.

So what specifically were you doing that you think you figured it out. I can see you were jigging, but were you doing something specific that was working especially well, or just lifting it up and lowering it down?

I got 18 in the boat this year, which is my best year ever as well. All on spinners and kwikfish. I, unfortunately, did not get to go 5 time a week (yes, that's jealousy ).

I've done well jigging in the past, but did not get to it this year since I was doing so well with the spinners and kwiks.
Taking off and flying is easy, it's the landings that will kill you.

Oh Yeah!...Salmon!...Everything else is just practice.

Awesome...Lots easier having the boat at the marina, less hassle if you fish that much, another full-time job!..You must have one of those big chest freezers in the garage or give out a lot. 75 salmon, yeah I think you have it figured out now. I like those pictures of the schools still coming in and how deep, ect. That's the most I've heard caught by anybody around here. You better do something to keep your wife happy, happy wife..;)..That's why it seemed there was less fish this year, it was you..
