    Re: Is 90 hp enough?

90 is plenty , mariner is a 12 degree hull. If price is right do it.

I had the Seahawk with more deadrise and the 90 was enough .

If the price is right and the NR is solid then I'd buy it. You could always repower later if you're not satisfied with the 90.

Mariner I believe. No offshore bracket. Doesn't say in add but when I talk to the guy I would get all details.

    Here is one like it.

Try to find out what MAX HP is for that boat. You'll want at least 75% IMHO.

I would personally want a little more power. I had. a tracker bass boat with a Mercury 90 and I thought it was under powered.

    Re: Is 90 hp enough?

I don’t know what the boat weighs but 90hp should be just fine. I had an 18’ Alumaweld with a 90hp merc and it pushed the boat just fine. I could do 40 or 41 mph per gps with me and one other person in the boat. With 6 adults and 2 large dogs , 2 ice chests and other stuff in the boat it took a little doing to get up on plane but I was way over the rated weight capacity. With a total of 4 adults plus fishing equipment the boat performed great.
Its always good to have more horsepower than less but if you really like the boat , and the price is right I’d buy it in a second with a 90 hp.
Be sure to take it for a good test ride and then decide.

The 115 Yamaha would be enough. The 150 is the sweetheart of the Yami inlines. If you can swing it, that's what I would put on it.
