Re: Non-lead ammo and feeling like Im being held hostage

Through out history all despotic dictatorships have disarmed their populations. The Third Reich under Hitler is one of the most well known. The most recent is Venezuela. They went from a free capitalist country to a despotic socialist country. Along the way all the guns were confiscated, that is why the people were and are unable to resist the tyranny.
Our framers were very aware of government tyranny and thus the second amendment both to fight and destroy a tyrannous government and for citizens to protect home and persons.
There are over 20,000 federal, state and local gun laws currently on the books. How many more do we need? The answer for one side of the political spectrum is we need as many as it takes to disarm the citizenry.
And yes us hunters are under attack too. PETA (people for eating tasty animals) are in bed with the anti gunners.

We all know the left wing PETA is anti-hunting but they also want to abolish sport fishing:

And the far left Dems of CA are in bed with PETA.

And huge political divide. CNN & MSNBC spewing out left wing propaganda every evening.

Hell they even want to ban fishing.

Good info.! Yes they are trampling the second amendment and taking our rights away. They do it incrementally one small step at a time. And before you know it our rights are just a distant memory.

Re: Non-lead ammo and feeling like Im being held hostage

    Penal Code 30314
    (a) Commencing January 1, 2018, a resident of this state shall not bring or transport into this state any ammunition that he or she purchased or otherwise obtained from outside of this state unless he or she first has that ammunition delivered to a licensed ammunition vendor for delivery to that resident pursuant to the procedures set forth in Section 30312.

    • SB1235, which was passed and signed by the Governor, had the following exception:
      (15) A licensed hunter who purchased the ammunition outside of this state for use in a lawful hunting activity that occurred outside of this state if the person brings or imports no more than 50 rounds into this state and the ammunition is designed and intended for use in the firearm the hunter used in that hunting activity.
However, Prop 63 superseded most of SB1235, so that exception doesn't exist.

The bottom line is the 50 round exception was superseded, so as a California resident you cannot legally bring any ammo into California. California is totally ****ing us law abiding shooters and hunters. Don’t be surprised if you get a knock on the door late at night from Newsoms special elite Gestapo forces.

According to all of the recent research I have done as well as info published in the latest magazines (like CWA's magazine) the 50 round rule was removed. I don't believe you are allowed to bring any ammo back that you purchased out of state unless you use a licensed dealer.

I personally would do my own research on what is legal or not. Trusting the internet for what is legal is a little too risky for me.

For those of you that might have the 2019 CWA fall edition it is on page 60.

I roll my own so no sweat off my brow. Been shooting some non-lead now and then.

Both my son and I shoot 7-08s, 139gr GMXs at 2850fps.
