    Re: 8/22 Frenchman lake

The 69* water temp. might have been part of the problem but back in 2009
when I had the old boat we did well in August lots of times with pictures of
full stringers hanging from the boat.
I did not take notes back then,................sorry.

Never fish this lake in the "Fall". Too busy at other waters or when younger
it was time to bust something with feathers or fur!!

I was there two weeks ago and finished up with 4 in the box and 9 to the boat. For got my crawlers so I just used lures, needle fish with orange was the ticket
And speed was a factor. 2-2.5 mph
but with crazy people at boat ramp I won't go back till late Sept.

    Biggest was 18.5
    Smallest was 15

Nice report. Im thinking when fall comes on and cooler temps the end of September or so the bite might turn on.

    8/22 Frenchman lake

Tried it last week and it was sort of slow but thought it was the "Bad worms".......
so we gave it another try.

Today we have fresh worms in great condition, my boat and Humbird with my d/r's and 4 stroke.
Started at the ramp and went up past Turkey point, down to the other ramp and then finally to the
South pond and finally to the s/e main ramp.

Lots of "Fish" at 25 feet at all depths from 33 to 60 feet in depth but none had the feed bag on.
We started at around 8:30 and finished at 12:30, tossing the sink at them.
My partner brought in a small 13" at 10:50 am and I got a 17" at 12:10 when I gave up and dropped
down to 50 feet on the last mile to the ramp, in the 68* water.
Strange that there were no fish on the bottom of the lake, this trip. ? !

Tried F/Fish, Rapala, Raps, Needle fish, dodgers, blades, w/rings w/worms, even spin & glows.
Going to write this lake off until next Spring and colder waters.
    Summer/Fall weather is here............
time to adjust your fishing and go to late year options.

    Tight lines.
