Now that we have had SNOW in the areas above 4,500 feet................
fishing is a brand new ball game and you also need to have "Winter Gear" to be able to enjoy
your fishing trips.
Winter has arrived, folks..................

If you buy a full license now it will only be good until Dec. 31 2019. Maybe buy a one or 2 day license. Even those aren't cheap. Welcome to California.

To fish you need a license. Get one.

Just get a license, the lakes are open to fish year round, the streams are not. Dont worry you can read all that stuff online. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

You can’t fix stupid, no matter how much duct tape you use!
Doing the best I can with what's left.

Hi all,
Headed through Truckee this weekend and can’t find anything on fishing licenses from their website. I know the lake has a lot of public piers. Does that mean I can fish on them without a license?
Thanks all!
