Re: Hooked 2 More Trolling the Sac
Nice..They are still out there for sure, still good days of fishing left. Water is cool and fairly clear, nice weather, enjoy it while you can. I fish locally off the bank in the mornings on the Sac. On Monday there was 2 Salmon landed and 2 lost with about 5-7 fisherman. Tuesday I got a double, a 14lb at 8am and a 18lb at 8:45am, both bucks in good shape with about 6 guys there. I haven't had a double in a while. Wed only 1 clean Salmon and this morning 3 hooked up, both about 15lbs each and one broke the line and took his lure with 6 guys. So get out there and good luck!

Launched at New Hope and headed to Ko-Ket Resort. Turned around and trolled toward Walnut Grove, and beyond. I pulled in my line around 10:30 and headed north on the Sac passed Steamboat Slough. Went passed Painters Bridge and turned around and trolled down river with zero boats in sight. Fifty feet passed the Bridge heading toward Walnut Grove my line starts acting funny and I can't bounce the 28' bottom. When I pulled my line in I had a 18-20" Salmon on my Brad's pug that I shook off. I made three or four passes back and forth in the same area by the bridge where I caught my small fish and on the fourth pass I get a nice take down in 25' of water and junior is fighting for all she's worth. Took about five minutes to put a ten pound female in the boat. Another great day on the water.
