Fish and wildlife planted 100,000 fingerlings in May. It would be better if they grew them to yearlings like for Oroville & Shasta...

It used to be a lot of fun to fish in the 90's when DFG was planting king salmon with regularity. Especially when the lake would turn over in late fall. I stopped spending my time (and yearly rising fees!) there about 2006. Haven't read any reports to make me think I should try it again. I do enjoy quite a bit of success trout and land-locked salmon fishing many other Nor-Cal lakes, and I get out on the Delta to chase stripers just as often.
I know this lake and couldn't agree more with what you've stated.

It's primary purpose is flood control. Fishing and maybe catching, not so much. It is and remains an unfortunate situation.
