    Re: What boat to buy

Come out to the ISE show at Cal Expo starting this Thursday through Sunday. We have a few Anger Quest pontoons there. Going to be a great show.

Doug, I had a Motor Guide Xi5 24v trolling motor on my 19' Alumaweld and transferred it over to my current 23.5' Duckworth that works great trolling for Trout at Melones and the spot anchor for Rockfish out on the ocean.

BTW as for a Pontoon bow thruster here's the one I made using a MinnKota trolling motor for my previous owned 28' Pontoon.

Sorry to be off subject but do you have a bow mount trolling motor on you Alumaweld? I bought a 19' Stryker and am looking at battery mounting options for a 24v motor. I'd be curious as to what other things you had on it.

PM me if you would like.

    Thank you,
    Doug

They (pontoons) sure look comfortable when I see them out on the lakes. I suspect they do just fine when it gets choppy. I wonder how they are in the wind. Seems like they might get blown around a lot with the high sides acting like sails. But then again, same thing happens with my light aluminum boat.

I don't know much about them but am certain Mrs Ldubs would like a pontoon (and a porta potty too).

The one they have in stock at Auburn outboard has a full canvas top. it even has the camper canvas on it that closes it in all the way around. It's really cool. The front is for family with counches and stuff. The back is for serious fishing. Tracks on the rails for down riggers, rod holders or what ever you want on there. Has canvas floors for easy clean up. It also has a wash down, live well, stand up rod holders, and tackle storage.

It gets very hot out on the water. Here's a family all shaded .

    Great looking center console Pontoon.

A couple of issues I see is that there isn't any shade for the family and a porta potty for the ladies and trust me on this...they're needed.

But that's a great looking platform for a fishing .
