    Re: What boat to buy

Not sure where you are located but if possible, drop into Auburn Outboard Marine and check out the Angler Quest Pontoon boat. It is the coolest fishing pontoon boat I ever seen.

If your primary fishing grounds are lakes, then that is the way to go. Plenty of room on them.

    Re: What boat to buy

The reason for the thought was more room and more space for family dogs etc

i only fish fresh water lakes need a stable platform for older people to get on and off

thanks for the comments so far

Not enough info. What would you be using it for?

Pontoon is great for family outing in the Delta and/or lakes but not so much in the SF/SP Bays and definitely not in the ocean.

Huge differences there. The ride is smoother on the toon but way slower. Big waves don’t seem to make a pontoon boat happy at all. You have a nice multispecies rig and what your looking to get in to is geared towards more leisure.
