    Re: Pyramid shore recommendation

Sorry guys. The site that was hosting my article shut down. I do believe I have a version on an older computer. I'll try and find it and re host it.

I don't know much about fishing conventional tackle from shore. But I sure have been hammering some hogs on fly tackle. Here's just a few from our camp site on the North West shore.

    Pyramid shore recommendation

Heading up to Pyramid this weekend to fish from shore. Don’t want to risk getting stuck over the hill with the boat. Not a fluff chucker, and with the girlfriend.

I’ve fished it from a boat quite a bit, but only experience from shore was a cold wet skunk from Pelican last February. There is a ton on-line for fly fishing but not a lot from gear guys. I looked for Captain Compassions comprehensive post a few years back, but couldn’t find it. Probably just missed it.

Figuring throwing spoons off the beaches is as good as any, but thought I’d ask other’s opinions. Also have some swim baits I need to wear some paint off, so contemplating some of that too.

Any suggestions for a shore bound knuckle-dragging conventional gear guy would be appreciated.
