    Re: Lake Oroville

    It's totally legal.

Some of the better fishing I've had on that lake has been at night. Here's what the DFG reg book says...

    NO FISHING HOURS
    RESTRICTIONS AT LAKES LISTED
    BELOW:
    Berryessa Lake (Napa Co.),
    Mendocino Lake (Mendocino Co.)
    Coyote Lake (Santa Clara Co.)
    Camp Far West Lake (Nevada,
Placer, and Yuba Cos.), Collins Lake
(Yuba Co.), Oroville Lake (Butte Co.)
    Wildwood Lake (Nevada Co.)

The Coho bite is next to non-existant now due to two years of no plants. You can still get fish, but they're few and far between.

The Bass action has been awsome all summer. People are usually having the best luck fishing the shallows at night and structure down to 25' or more durring the day.

I haven't gotten a good Catfish report for the last few weeks, but I do know that a 18lb.er was caught about 6 weeks ago near Bidwell launch.

Good luck! And stay away from the lake on the weekends if you can. Like many other valley lakes, it gets CRAZY!

    Lake Oroville

Hey all, need some help. Me and my buddy are burnt out on fishing the river all the time. We live in Yuba City and are thinking about maybe heading up to lake Oroville. We're fishing from a boat, is it legal to be out on the water overnight fishing there? Help would be appreciated, Thanks
