    To start weatherproof connections are just that weatherproof not watertight. If the transducer is leaking the fish out why would you still want to use it. If it were on my boat, I'd be out getting a new unit.

    Honey, it's a safety item. I have to know when I'm heading into shallow water. And we don't want to be polluting the water, now do we?
