    Is it possible to launch a canoe or hand carried boat at Caples and avoid the marina altogether?

    E. Carson, W. Carson Briefly. 09/15/09 (Pics)

    Took a quick morning trip up to the Carson Rivers. Fished the E. Fork around the Resort for nothing. There were lots of fish but they just didn't want what I was offering. Stopped at the Cory Hole across from Sorensen's and did manage to catch a nice fat 18 inch brown on the first cast but nothing after that. Up over the pass for a short stop at Caples Resort. Took a picture of a picture. There was a notice on the door that said that Caples Resourt was not going to allow public launching of boats next year. Their restruant will be open and they will still rent boats. ::) The trip also served to test my rehabed camera. It works. :)
