Re: Trolling 4 Trout on New Melones

Best bet, foget about trout concentrate on the kokes they taste way better than trout and they are on a great bite right now. Infact i bet you will find it hard to catch a trout before the kokes take the offering the kokes are thicker than flys on dung in there right now. Most any koke lure in pink tipped with white shoe peg corn trolled at 1.0-1.7mph fished on the rigger 40-55' deep will get you a limit of the tasty fish now!

When you finish getting your kokes try trolling for spotted bass. We where amazed at how many where willing to take our offerings on Friday. We trolled Roadrunner lures in 1/8oz. tipped with a 2" seps grub right along the banks. We toplined trolled letting out about 100' of line anywhere along rocky shores was getting it done

    Tony out!
