    Re: Lake Almanor Water Level

Heard from the Almanor Fishing Association and the rep said that the lake is filling and that they expect the level to be at least as high as last year. PGandE is going to "try to keep the level at 4488" which is about 4 feet from maximum. They (AFA) are hoping for a full lake. :)

    Re: Lake Almanor Water Level

I fished there May 1 & 2 and the water level was low... about end of the year low... not a good sign, but the level was creeping up and the PG&E people were projecting the level coming up quite a bit, or that is the story I heard from the locals. The locals thought the PG&E levels were overly optimistic though... It's still fishable, just watch for the usual submerged hazards while boating and you'll be fine. Mark

    Re: Lake Almanor Water Level

I fished there a couple of weeks ago and it's already as low as it was last fall. There is still snow at high altitude so hopefully it will get some runoff.

    Lake Almanor Water Level

Has anyone fished Lake Almanor lately? If so, how is the water level? :)
