    crab report from tomales

    Ok just got back about a hour ago launched boat out of nicks cove dropped the set of pots 8:00 am about 35 feet ended at 15 to 20 feet ended up with 4 limits of dungis and 3 limits of nice rocks and reds on the road by 1:30 was great day calm and warm the elk on hill side had a kid on the boat never been to the bay he had a blast was a good day, going back on dec 12 and 13 clam tide !!

    Good job!

    Were you inside the bay? what bait and how long of a soak?

    Never fished out of Nicks Cove, negative tide in Dec. That would be a good trip, crab and clams....thanks for the post, JT

    All of the fishing was done by the mouth we started at 35 to 45 feet ended at 25 to 15 feet because of the tide took about 4 hours for 4 us, also nicks cove is a good place too launch but i found that they dont have a wash out any more, but it is real easy access to the bay shorter drive and oh yes much cheaper 5$ too park, still pretty shallow in there we launched a 23 foot lumaweld.
