+1. Mark is right, just got back from Eagle and there are lots of rocks just below the surface in spots, most of them are in areas with lots of bouys like Pelican point. We saw some boats hauling before sunup looking for the lighted bouys and cutting it close. There are a lot of regulars and guide boats on the water so if you go before first light slow it down and go in line with the other boats.Fishing is good so be careful out there and enjoy that great lake.

    Re: Eagle Lake 9-11 & 12

Ive never had a problem catching 2 in the 6 or 7 times ive fished there. This last trip I had my 2 in less than an hour.. For some reason i could see a fair amount of people out there were having problems getting a fish or two.. Not much shore fishing spots, but there are some decent areas in the south area of the lake...

So i got my first two both days pretty quick.. good ol worm under the bobber.. seems ELT cant resist.. had a lot of time to do some exploring of the area.. water is low but the fish dont care.. might be hard to launch at the south end pretty soon..

south end ramp as of 9-12-10, still a few inches of water to slip through:

    deer

    shallow point area

All fish seem to run in the 16-20" inch range nice and healthy:

I guess the bright side of the story is you got your two fish...i.e. isn't Eagle at times tough to catch 2? Never fished there but heard it can be hit or miss. Can you fish from shore there?
