The Sacramento River rolls through the valley with its murky water and tree-lined banks that give way to open stretches where the current really gets moving. It's got that working river vibe, farms nearby and the occasional hawk overhead, nothing polished but plenty real. This time of year the stripers are pushing up from the delta and the fishing gets good fast.
