Colusa on the Sacramento River keeps things simple for spring fishing with the state recreation area and its public boat ramps right there for easy launches or bank fishing if you roll that way. April weather usually cooperates enough to let you fish all day without fighting the elements, and the river has that steady flow that stripers love this time of year.

2-day Striped Bass Derby on April 18-19, Saturday and/or Sunday fishing in Colusa. You can fish for one day or two days. The Derby is a slot measurement Derby. Sizes will be announced on Facebook before each day Derby start time. Sign up online at: https://ncgasa.org

$2,000 Grand Champ Bonus, $1,500 First Place finishers each day, $1,000 2nd place, $500 3rd place, $1,000 Guide Bonus Prize each day, Big Fish prize (females catch & release). Youth payouts: 1st: $250, 2nd: $150, 3rd $100 and everyone youth who signed up will receive extra prizes. Payouts based on the number of entries we receive. We'd love to host 250 anglers!!! There will be multiple raffle prizes to win at the event: coolers, fishing rods and reels, fishing gear and tackle, merchandise, and more.

Colusa Public Boat Ramp has 2 ramps for launching. You can launch at other ramps per Derby location rules. Anglers can also fish from the banks per the rules.

Weigh-ins are from 2:30-4pm each day. Must be in line with your slot fish by 4pm to be entered.

Entry Fees: Saturday-Day 1 / Sunday-Day 2 (both days)

• Junior or Youth: $50 current NCGASA members / $80 non-NCGASA members

• Adult: $90 current NCGASA members / $150 non-NCGASA members

• For Non-NCGASA Members: $120 / $180 (these fees have a NCGASA membership included)

All entries fees include $20 in raffle tickets that gets you a entry into all prize categories and a free BBQ lunch from Cool Hand Luke's Steakhouse.
